About the Role Carbon Link is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team on a casual basis. This hands-on role involves carrying out soil core analyses in line with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for CFI soil carbon and research projects. You’ll be part of a collaborative, safety-focused workplace that supports innovation and delivers meaningful outcomes for agriculture, the environment, and the community. This role is a casual role, working onsite in our laboratory at 15 Morgan Street, Gladstone CBD. Your responsibilities: Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) controls. Maintain lab tools and equipment in a clean, safe, and operating condition. Assist with data entry, record keeping, and other admin tasks as required. Work accurately, efficiently, and according to SOPs. Participate in training, including radiation safety where applicable . Carry out soil sample preparation, processing, scanning, and analysis. About You: Strong attention to detail with good time management. Physically fit and able to carry out repetitive/manual tasks. Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. Previous laboratory or science-based experience highly desirable – or a willingness to learn. A reliable team player who is adaptable, organised, and proactive. Able to follow procedures, uphold compliance, and maintain accountability. Must have the right to work and live in Australia.
