The role will initially take on the transactional element of the indirect category, whilst progressively taking on more strategic responsibility until complete ownership of the category is transferred. Description The core function of the role is centred around the satisfaction of the procurement requirements for the indirect division of the organisation, this will include but is not limited to the following: Undertake detailed market analysis, profiling all the relevant categories within the assigned portfolio, this will include the creation of strategic reports outlining procurement and supplier performance. Identify new suppliers or opportunities with existing suppliers to engage with initial negotiations to improve commercial standing, relationship and other measurables. Identify when necessary and then support the creation and implementation of an appropriate supplier relationship management plan with applicable vendors. Satisfy the end to end purchasing requirements within the assigned portfolio through the ERP system (Pronto/Microsoft Dynamics). Profile The successful individual will demonstrate the following: Demonstrated experience in procurement or supply chain management within the industrial or manufacturing industry. Previous experience managing the end-to-end purchasing process within either Pronto or Microsoft Dynamics. Previous exposure to supplier analysis, with demonstrated experience drawing conclusions and making commercial recommendations. A tertiary qualification in commerce, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
