Fyfes Energy and Resources Division works with major clients to deliver mining, renewable energy, oil and gas projects across the country. The Opportunity: We are currently looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Perth team working on project portfolios of Electrical and Power Projects across Oil and Gas/ Mining and Industrial Sector. The Responsibilities: This is a senior position that requires an energetic team player with strong technical skills who can lead projects, consult with clients and mentor junior team members. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including design engineers and project managers and our Eastern States office, to ensure projects are delivered safely on time/budget and exceed client expectations. Skills and Requirements: Highly desirable to have exposure to business development activities Demonstrated experience leading technical design projects Strong Technical skills as well as analytical and technical report writing skills Ability to perform checking and approval of Electrical Deliverables HV and MV experience Competence with Electrical Analysis software such as ETAP Experience in Hazardous Area Classification Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and client requirements A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality work Previous experience within a consultancy framework Exposure to energy projects broadly across Oil and Gas, Renewables, Power generation, Agricultural and Mining. Ability to travel to site on an infrequent and ad hoc basis. Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering at an Australian University or equivalent with relevant Electrical experience CPEng preferred or desire to work towards chartered status Working rights in Australia Why Fyfe!
