Our client is an Australian subsidiary of a European-based manufacturer of high quality equipment installed on industrial production lines throughout the world. At this time we are looking for a Field Service Technician to install new equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns and promote additional service offerings to a loyal base of existing clients. Your day-to-day duties will include but not be limited to: Installation of new equipment in the field. Service and maintenance activities both on-site and in the workshop Attending to breakdowns and troubleshooting equipment throughout Melbourne and country areas. Proactively staying in touch with your client base and promoting service contracts and parts sales. Customer training on upgrades and new installations. In order to thrive in this role, our successful candidate should be able to demonstrate most or all of the following selection criteria: You are trade qualified in a mechanical or electrical discipline and can obtain a Restricted Electrical Licence, (if you don’t already have one!) An affinity to troubleshoot and problem solve electrical, electronic and mechanical faults. A professional approach along with excellent communication and customer service skills You are a proactive self-starter who is able to work autonomously Previous field service experience is essential.
