They are in search of a talented and passionate Cook to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive culinary expertise and a flair for creating innovative menus, Responsibilities will include preparing dishes that align with the restaurant's high standards, engaging in menu development, managing kitchen inventory, and ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations. Key Responsibilities Inspecting food items to maintain quality standards Monitoring and adjusting temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances Preparing and cooking various dishes Seasoning food during the cooking process Portioning meals, plating dishes, and adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes Storing food in temperature-controlled environments Preparing meals tailored to specific dietary needs May plan menus and estimate ingredient requirements May supervise and train kitchen staff and apprentices. Requirements Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents encouraged to apply AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualifications including at least two to three years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV Minimum of 1 - 2 years of demonstrated experience in a Cook, ideally within a comparable restaurant.
