About the role The Site PPM Lead (Project Portfolio Management) at the Virginia, Brisbane Facility involves leading a team for the broad range of responsibilities centered around technology transfer, process optimization, regulatory compliance, and site strategic projects support. The purpose of this role is to lead and deliver all M&S Site Strategic Projects to the required milestone achievement dates. Projects may include New Product Developments (NPDs), Existing Product Developments (EPDs), continuous improvements and strategic site projects . This role is crucial for ensuring that the Virginia Facility meets Opella’s growth and competitive objectives while maintaining compliance with GMP and market specific regulatory requirements. By collaborating with other functions such as the Development Centre and providing technical expertise and strategic direction, the PPM Lead helps maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations. A large part of this role and team will be to ensure effective and efficient technology transfer of NPDs and EPDs into the Virginia manufacturing site for successful GMP commercial manufacture. The role also emphasizes the importance of regional collaboration and knowledge sharing within Opella to achieve consistent and effective practices across all production sites as applicable. In addition to the broad responsibilities mentioned, the Site PPM Lead also plays a role in financial planning and budgeting for the PPM team and in some instance the site strategic projects. The Lead may develop detailed cost estimates for process improvement initiatives by identifying and specifying the financial resources required for proposed changes or upgrades in processes and justifying costs associated with process improvements. Main Responsibilities: Lead the internal PPM Team at site driving a high-performance culture, delivering to project plans with respect to timings, quality, supply etc Manage and take accountability for all M&S Virginia non-engineering site projects as required Collaborate with other functions outside of M&S that are key stakeholders and contributors to the site projects to assure the project deliverables are met Establish and maintain a site project prioritisation process to ensure all projects are assessed and resourced appropriately based on criticality and site strategic objectives Execute the activities required for site projects including and not limited to, planning, procurement, manufacturing process setups, Vista label process and Quality processes such as process validation, cleaning validation, stability requirements, change control set up and execution, and documentation initiation, review and approval Act as the key technical lead between Development Centre & M&S to ensure technology transfers occur to a high level of quality and standard Stay updated with the latest advancements in process sciences, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to ensure expertise remains current and relevant Provide strategic technical direction to improve processes in line with supply targets and regulatory changes. Identify and specify the financial and human resources required for proposed changes or upgrades in processes Provide support to Manufacturing with the introduction of new technologies and process improvements. The activities include: NPD - New Product Developments , EPD – Existing Product Development, New Product and new Process Transfers Work with R&D and Development Centre teams to on-board knowledge of new processes being transferred to site Ensure that all technical studies contribute effectively to achieving the department’s objectives, such as process optimization, regulatory compliance, and product quality Quality Accountable for all project: Change Controls, Vendor Assurance, Project Deviations , Process Validation, Cleaning Validation , Stability Requirements , Manufacturing documentation review and approval Provide support for market expansions by identifying potential gaps and delivering on committed timings Respond to regulatory questions and ensure compliance with evolving regulations. About You Qualifications: Scientific or Engineering Bachelor's Degree Experience: Ideally min. 5 x years experience in a Pharmatech, Consumer Healthcare or Food Manufacturing industry A background in NPD Innovation Project Management in an Industrial environment is essential Versed in Process validation and stability requirements preferred Exposure to Tech transfer ie from Development Center to production Proven background in Process Continuous improvement Soft Skills: Leadership qualities and people management skills to drive both performance and business priorities A highly commercial and Continuous Improvement mindset Proactive, organised and time-management skills in project management Agile and able to pivot within a changing environment Excellent communication skills to partner and present with stakeholders at all levels and functions both locally and regionally Why us?
