This permanent full-time role, based in Brisbane, offers a unique opportunity to oversee the multi-billion-dollar Queensland Rail Capital Plan and contribute to the delivery of a single integrated transport network. As Manager (Rail Capital), you'll play a pivotal role in managing the Rail Transport Service Contract (Rail TSC), leading a high-performing team, and providing expert advice to senior executives and the Minister. Your work will directly impact infrastructure investment, service delivery, and strategic planning across Southeast Queensland's passenger rail network. The role will include but is not limited to;- Program management including annual program development activities and program oversight of the multi-billion-dollar Queensland Rail capital investment program (Capital Plan), and Infrastructure Services, under the Rail TSC.- Consult, collaborate, and negotiate with internal and external agencies and represent the department at a variety of forums related to the Rail TSC and the Capital Plan.- Provide advice to senior executives and the Minister, including preparing periodic Capital Plan and related program and/or project reports, briefing notes and general correspondence, ensuring the provision of accurate, timely and well written materials, targeted to the audience.- Proactively manage the resolution of issues, which may result in project variations or variations to the Rail TSC.
