About the Job We are seeking a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Manager who is as passionate about people as they are about processes. While this role is primarily office-based, you’ll also spend some time on-site to understand day-to-day operations and ensure safety systems are practical and effective. This is a full-time permanent role (approx. 38 to 44 hours per week) with a starting rate of $38.00 per hour, negotiable based on skills and experience. Flexibility is also available for the right candidate. Key Criteria In this role, you’ll: Lead the day to day WHS management of farming operations Carry out site audits and drive continuous improvement Support investigations, prepare reports and create practical, effective safety systems Lead and deliver key WHS projects such as: Hazardous substances measurement and analysis Fit testing programs Chemical inventory improvements Fuel monitoring system rollout WHS online system implementation Support in Place You won’t be starting from scratch! Existing staff members have developed strong WHS systems and can provide guidance and knowledge to help you succeed in this role. The Ideal Candidate We’re looking for someone who is approachable, organised, and ready to make a difference. You’ll bring: Solid WHS knowledge and hands-on experience Strong project management and organisational skills Confidence with spreadsheets and data (bonus points if you secretly love them!) Great communication skills: you can explain things clearly and keep people engaged Leadership potential, with the ability to guide a support person down the track A current driver’s licence to travel between farms Extra brownie points if you have: Experience with Freshcare, Sedex, or Fair Farms compliance A background in farming, agriculture or agronomy Advanced Excel skills and a love for neat systems What’s in it for You?
