Maintenance Fitter

About the Role
Synergie is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Fitter to join our operations team in Milperra. This is a day shift role, ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of plant machinery and equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment and machinery

Diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical faults

Ensure equipment is safe and compliant after servicing or repair

Manage spare parts and liaise with suppliers for replenishment

Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS systems

Support LEAN, 5S, and continuous improvement activities

Train operators in basic equipment care and maintenance

Assist with safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure WHS compliance
Skills & Experience
-
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Mechanical or Maintenance Fitter role
-
Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical/electrical faults
-
Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and workshop tools

Experience with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding & fabrication
-
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, GMP, EHS, and QA standards
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
High attention to detail and safety awareness
Desirable Qualifications

Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting & Machining or Diesel Fitting)

White Card, Forklift Licence, Confined Space, Working at Heights

Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
-
Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
