Learn more at http://sydney.langhamhotels.com.au/ About the role Reporting to the Front Office Manager and Night Manager, you will be responsible for: In absence of the Night Manager - the management, security, and operational efficiency of the hotel (Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Front Office) ensuring optimum guest and associate satisfaction during the night Ensure the Night Audit function is performed with relation to roll of day, revenue capture and reporting, in line with relevant SOPs. In absence of the Night Manager - oversee the safety and security of all guests, associates and assets. Anticipate and resolve problems which impact on guest service. With the Night Manager - facilitate and monitor the implementation of The Langham Sydney WHS Management System and associated policies, procedures, guidelines and programs Duties & Responsibilities Oversee operations and maintain a highly visible presence in Front Office and guest contact areas (i.e. Lobby, Food & Beverage outlets and Housekeeping) Create a positive hotel image. Ensure general grooming and hotel presentation standards are impeccable and in accordance with organizational policy and guidelines Maintain complete knowledge of all room types, hotel matrix and facilities Address and resolve complaints. Communicate problems to management and advice steps taken to resolve. Including responses to guest feedback survey’s Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to explain and sell services and facilities to guests. Keep up to date current on guest, restaurant and functions activities Operate communications equipment and use rooms computer program as required for night audit tasks Perform Night Porter tasks – newspaper delivery, preparation and delivery of room service orders, assist guests with luggage and valet parking (manual driver's license mandatory) Skill and Experiences Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service. Possess a high standard of grooming and personal presentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
