Pulse Staffing have partnered with a large organisation who provide telehealth services across the country. We are seeking Nurse Practitioners to join our team of Telehealth consultants whilst delivering high-quality, evidence based care to patients seeking assessment and treatment with medicinal cannabis. The role involves conducting comprehensive telehealth consultations, determining patient eligibility, prescribing medicinal cannabis where clinically appropriate, and ensuring all activities are undertaken in compliance with national and state regulatory frameworks. Your responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments via telehealth, including full clinical histories, medication reviews, and eligibility for medicinal cannabis. Diagnose, prescribe, and manage patient care within scope of practice and in accordance with clinical guidelines. Prescribe medicinal cannabis under the Special Access Scheme (Category B), as per TGA and state legislation. Provide follow-up care, treatment monitoring, and patient education to ensure safe and effective use of prescribed therapies. Collaborate with GPs, specialists, allied health professionals, and pharmacists as needed to support integrated care. Ensure compliance with AHPRA, TGA, and applicable state/territory health department requirements for prescribing Schedule 8 and unregistered medicines. Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records in accordance with professional standards and clinic policies Participate in ongoing training and education sessions provided by the clinic or external providers. Maintain professional and effective communication with patients, colleagues, and external stakeholders. To be considered for the role, you will have the following: Current registration with AHPRA as a Nurse Practitioner . Understanding of or willingness to learn regulatory pathways for prescribing medicinal cannabis (SAS-B, Authorised Prescriber). Excellent telehealth communication skills and ability to engage with patients remotely. Strong documentation, record-keeping, and clinical reasoning skills. High standards of professional integrity, confidentiality, and compliance. Full training on software and IT systems will be provided. Ideally, you will have prior experience prescribing or consulting on medicinal cannabis or experience in chronic disease management, pain management or mental health.
