The Role The Marketing Cadet is to provide support to the Marketing function within the City Futures team at Georges River Council. The 12-month cadetship will provide exposure to the multi-facetted marketing requirements in local government. The position will support the content creation and management of internal and community branded messaging. You will need to be enrolled in the degree for the year of the cadetship. The successful candidate will have Enrolled in Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Public Relations or a related degree for the year of the cadetship Demonstrated knowledge of Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud Demonstrated knowledge of social media scheduling software Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with staff and the community Demonstrated ability to work in a united, collaborative environment whilst consistently displaying integrity, accountability, respect and honesty Willingness to embrace problem solving opportunities with lateral and creative thinking skills Demonstrated ability to set work priorities and meet deadlines Willingness to value diversity of thought and support equity in the workplace Desirable Knowledge of local area having either lived, studied or worked in the Georges River LGA.
