Client Details We are seeking a motivated Japanese Speaking Project Coordinator on behalf of our client, a global trading company with a strong presence in Australia's mining and energy sectors. The company is actively expanding into decarbonisation related technologies and projects, including CCUS, Carbon Credits and Hydrogen/Ammonia. Description This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic commercial team that manages existing joint venture investments and explores new opportunities in both traditional and emerging sectors. The successful candidate will initially focus on supporting existing projects, with the potential to grow into new investment areas. You will report to the Deputy General Manager and collaborate closely with internal teams across Australia and Japan, as well as external stakeholders such as joint venture partners, consultants, and legal advisors. Key Responsibilities Analyse joint venture production and financial data Prepare internal reports and respond to stakeholder queries Support internal approval processes for JV-related matters (e.g. budgets, Capex) Assist in preparing board documents Monitor industry and regulatory trends Participate in mine site visits and support visiting delegations Provide ad hoc support to the commercial team as required Profile About You Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Business-level communication skills in both English and Japanese (written and verbal) Proactive and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills Experience in the resources sector is desirable but not essential Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (cash flow modelling experience is a plus) Familiarity with finance/accounting concepts is advantageous Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience Job Offer What's on Offer Friendly and collaborative team culture Competitive salary based on experience Performance-based bonus Paid overtime with meal allowance Opportunities for career progression and involvement in new business areas Hybrid work model (up to 2 days WFH) Prime CBD office location Occasional domestic and international travel Please submit your complete application through the online application platform.
