The Opportunity Orrcon Steel is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team in O’Sullivan Beach. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands. Our O’Sullivan Beach Mill is about to embark on a significant period of growth, with the commissioning of our new structural pipe mill set to begin shortly. In this hands-on role, you will be an active team member supporting the maintenance of our production machines, so that we can continue manufacturing our world class products and solutions for our valued customers. Being part of our dedicated maintenance team, you’ll work together to complete root cause failure analysis to enhance our production machine’s reliability and ensuring reduction in machine and production down time. You’ll also build capability of being the go-to person for our afternoon shift teams where your expertise will be fully utilised and you’ll enjoy the freedom of working autonomously. This is a permanent full-time opportunity where you’ll work on a 9-day fortnight roster on a rotating shift roster: Week 1: Day shift – 5 days Week 2: Afternoon shift – 4 days with RDO on Friday This opportunity includes a competitive remuneration package including our profit share plan (bonus incentive scheme). In a role that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality and reliability of our equipment and products, you will: inspect production and quality critical equipment and fault find resolve issues and fix any non-conformances seek ways to continuously improve our maintenance practices and strategies follow the safe system of work, isolate equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance perform safe, efficient and effective emergency repairs fault-find on electrical equipment including PLC’s, drives and instrumentation systems perform equipment inspections, identify improvement opportunities and report on findings More About You You are driven by self-development, committed to our success, and have technical experience within an industrial, manufacturing environment.
