Position: Mechanical Fitter – Aluminium Fuel Tanker Part Assembly Location: Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs Employment Type: 26-Week Contract with Potential for Permanent Placement Hourly Rate: $55.00 Superannuation Travel Allowance: $27 per day Payment Frequency: Weekly Start Date: Immediate About the Role: TRS Resourcing seeks 1 x trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our client's day shift team. Our client is a national industry leader specialising in constructing, maintaining, and repairing fuel tankers and stainless steel tanker trailer equipment. With a robust new and repeat business pipeline, they are expanding their workshop team to support ongoing growth. Key Responsibilities: Install pneumatic air lines and mount components Install pumps and associated equipment Perform electrical fault-finding Service, repair, and maintain the fuel tanker fleet and associated equipment in compliance with relevant standards and road transport guidelines Interpret and work from workshop/engineering drawings Prioritise tasks effectively and work both independently and within a team Requirements: Trade qualification in mechanical fitting Basic welding proficiency Own set of hand tools (specialist tools provided) Valid Australian work rights Current residence in Melbourne, VIC Two professional references from previous employers What’s in it for you?
