Your ability to lead by example, influence others and challenge where needed will be key to embedding best practices. You will manage and review safety systems, policies, and procedures, while staying across legislative changes and advising stakeholders accordingly. This is a hands-on role - you will be managing the safety team on the floor in the production and warehouse area Conduct WHS and compliance training for staff and contractors Advise leadership on WHS strategy and resource needs Investigate incidents, liaise with regulators, and implement corrective actions Monitor and improve WHS performance metrics Lead the execution of the WHS Plan Deliver annual programs including training, audits, risk assessments, and contractor management Manage the Emergency Management Program and coordinate site-wide training Align WHS policies with cross-functional teams Oversee contractor compliance and SOP implementation Promote WHS standards and culture across all levels Support Return to Work programs Set and track WHS targets and performance Essential requirements Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety (or related field) Minimum 2 years' experience in a WHS role, ideally within a blue-collar FMCG environment but not necessary Strong background in incident investigation and root cause analysis Proven ability to influence, lead change and embed a strong safety culture Proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience in reporting and data analysis Demonstrated operational WHS experience with the willingness and leadership to drive safety initiatives Well established career in WHS with excellent communication, negotiation, decision-making and stakeholder management skills If you believe you are the right fit for this opportunity, hit apply now!
