Description Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Northern Australia) Ltd. is seeking a passionate and dedicated secondary Science teacher to join the staff at Carlisle Adventist College. This is a full-time position commencing in Term 4, 2025 teaching Junior Science and Senior Biology, along with a leadership loading for Science Coordination. The key responsibilities of this position include: Teaching & Learning delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in Junior Science and Senior Biology; and fostering a safe, supportive, and Christ-centred classroom environment; Curriculum & Assessment planning, implementing, and review of curriculum programs aligned with QCAA requirements; developing and assessing meaningful learning experiences that cater for a range of student abilities; and to monitor, record, and report on student progress in accordance with school and system policies; Science Coordination leading the development and review of the Science curriculum across year levels; to support, mentor, and collaborate with Science staff to ensure consistency of practice; and to manage science resources, laboratories, and budgets in consultation with leadership; Professional & Faith Commitment to model professional and ethical standards, reflecting the values of Carlisle Adventist College; to actively contribute to the spiritual life of the school community; to engage in ongoing professional learning and development; and to build positive relationships with students, families, staff, and the wider community. Desirable attributes include: experience in subject coordination or curriculum leadership; being a baptised and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church or a practising Christian who is supportive of the ethos, values, and unique Seventh-day Adventist identity of the college.
