The Role Our Ridge street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renown Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses and an exciting new Lactose and Dairy Free range. You will be responsible for carrying out the installation and maintenance of a range of mechanical, automated & high-speed equipment to the applicable standards within a team environment. Please note this role works on a rotating roster, candidates must be ok working across days, nights and weekends.This role is based in Bega Valley Shire, regional NSW. ResponsibilitiesComplete planned preventative, predictive and corrective work to support the safety, quality and reliability of the production equipmentProvide Breakdown support to production to maximise uptimeProvide feedback from tasks and assist with reliability improvement programs to increase reliabilityWork as part of operational readiness teams for new equipment/plant installations and provide technical inputMaintain high standards in relation to Safe Work PracticesAbout youCert 3 mechanical engineering - mechanical trade - fitting and turning, relevant experience in welding and fabrication are also welcomedConfined Space, Boiler Ticket and Working at Height are good to haveBasic computer skill - MEX system & excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with team members and management effectivelyPrevious experience in Food Industry or FMCG is preferredPunctual, reliable and a team player with a positive and can-do attitudeBega Group Story Bega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
