Haileybury is seeking a passionate and skilled Latin Language Assistant to join our team for 5–10 hours per week. Based primarily at our Brighton Senior School campus, you will also have the opportunity to support students at our Keysborough, Berwick, and City campuses. In this role, you will play a key part in enriching student learning, working closely with our Latin teachers both in person and remotely via Zoom. Main Responsibilities: Work with students individually or in small groups, assist with classroom activities, and provide extension or support as directed by the Latin teacher. Run weekly drop-in sessions during recess and lunch in each campus library, helping students with all levels of Latin. Prepare teaching materials and adapt resources to support different learning needs. Track student progress, communicate with Latin teaching staff, and assist the classroom supervisor with behaviour and learning management. About you: We are looking for a team member who is: A native speaker of the relevant language, with a strong understanding of its history and culture. Well-versed in the Victorian and Australian curriculum for the relevant language. Experienced in teaching or supporting senior years language classrooms.
