About the role Reporting to the Director, Service Delivery Management the Senior Manager, Accommodation Facilities Management will lead the delivery and governance of government office accommodation facilities management requirements for ALS clients as occupants in owned and leased Victorian Government properties. The role will work collaboratively with departments and agencies to ensure coordinated, strategic, and successful delivery of a services and will govern and work with outsourced providers, providing governance oversight of contractual arrangements. The role is required to ensure services are delivered in line with ALS policies and procedures to ensure a consistent and effective whole of Victorian Government approach to office accommodation facilities management requirements. Key accountabilities include Lead a high achieving governance and oversight of ALS office accommodation facility management services, ensuring ALS delivers efficient, effective and value for money facility services in line with whole of Victorian Government policies, priorities and procedures, service agreement and catalogue of services commitments. Accountable for effective governance and oversight of outsourced providers, ensuring performance is aligned to all relevant contractual requirements, government policies and performance measures. Develop constructive and highly effective relationships with external service providers, client departments, agencies, and other key stakeholders to achieve ALS strategic accommodation goals in alignment with ALS policies and procedures. Regularly analyse financial, performance and other accommodation management data to support timely reporting, advice and decision making, providing recommendations and service solutions in response. Resolve complex and escalated accommodation management issues by applying sound analytic, interpersonal and persuasion skills and apply any lesson learned to future improvements. Lead the ALS Facilities Management team, driving high performance and development of all staff members, effectively planning and managing resourcing to meet changing business. About You Demonstrated experience leading a high performing office accommodation facilities management function to meet diverse and complex strategic and operational business needs. Expert and applied technical knowledge and track record of delivering enterprise-wide accommodation strategies, program management in a complex operating environment. Experienced people and vendor manager, able to drive strong performance from teams and manage multiple and competing priorities effectively. Advanced analytical, problem solving and reporting skills applied in a dynamic and sensitive operating environment. Exceptional interpersonal, writing and presentation skills, able to effectively engage and influence diverse stakeholders, particularly at senior levels. Mandatory requirements Extensive experience leading planned and reactive facilities maintenance operations. Expert-level knowledge of statutory and regulatory obligations related to building safety, maintenance, and compliance, with demonstrated ability to ensure ALS meets all legal and risk-based requirements. Demonstrated experience leading operational delivery of contractor-based maintenance services, with ability to identify service issues and support performance improvement. Relevant tertiary qualifications in facilities management or asset management or a related field will be highly regarded.
