Ability Action Australia is growing — and we’re looking for our next Behaviour Support Practitioner (BSP) to join our incredible team. Whether you're an experienced BSP or come from a strong background in the disability sector, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities will include: Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to manage challenging behaviours to improve their quality of life, and develop new skills You will complete thorough assessments to understand behaviour triggers, identify risks & consider specific strategies to improve behaviour outcomes You will develop Behaviour Support Plans and provide support to families and/or carers, for consistent implementation Maintain a caseload with ongoing monitoring, support and make adjustments where required. Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths, as well as ensuring they get more out of life Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers or friends Act as an advocate and role model for best practice Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team As you support many, we support you.
