Position Description As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will: Collaborate on 3D modelling using CAD software. Ensure designs meet technical specifications. Assist to build prototypes and testing components. Analyse test data and recommend design improvements. Maintain detailed records of design changes and test results. Update engineering drawings and specifications. Work closely with electrical engineers and software developers. Integrate mechanical, electrical, and software systems. Identify and address design and manufacturing challenges. Select materials suitable for lunar conditions. Implement quality control measures for manufactured parts. Contribute effectively to team objectives. Adhere to safety protocols at all stages of work. Preferred Disciplines Mechatronics, Robotics, Engineering, Systems, Mechanical Engineering. Requirements Minimum of 2 years’ experience studying an engineering discipline at university. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, to integrate mechanical systems with other components. Confidence to participate in design reviews and provide feedback and recommendations to improve system performance. Must be legally permitted to work in Australia.
