Role Due to growth, we’re looking to hire a motivated and driven individual to join the team as a Senior Recruitment Consultant focussing on the energy & resources sector. The role will support our high-performing in-house team and be based in Beacon Legal’s Sydney office. This role is available due to significant growth in Australia’s energy transition – Beacon Legal has been at the forefront of assisting Energy clients hire suitable lawyers for their legal teams. On offer is: An environment that has a vibrant, “start-up-feel” to it Offices in the Sydney CBD Training in all areas of recruitment from proven legal recruiters (who in most cases were practicing lawyers at top-tier and international law firms) Incentives such as lunches, drinks, and national & international trips A market leading salary - we pay more than our competitors to attract the best people The role will see you being responsible for all aspects of recruitment, including: taking relevant job briefs from clients, attending meetings with HR Leaders and Senior Lawyers (General Counsel and Head of Legal level), sourcing candidates through databases and online platforms, head-hunting lawyers through warm and cold calls, selecting and matching candidates for appropriate positions, prioritising candidate care and management (including arranging interviews), negotiating salary packages and conducting reference checks as required. You will continue to develop relationships with relevant candidates and clients, fostering positive, productive and long-term referral networks. Requirements This role is the perfect opportunity for a dynamic self-starter looking to develop their career in the legal recruitment industry. We are looking for the following in a candidate: A Senior Recruitment Consultant with at least 2 years’ experience in the legal recruitment sector in Australia; A track record in recruiting legal roles within the energy & resources industry. This is a strong requirement, due to the niche nature of this position and the technical level of expertise required in this role; Enthusiastic and willing to learn; Comfortable with business development, which involves cold-calling, organising and attending networking events (largely within the energy & resources industry): Organised and capable of managing your time effectively; Resilient, empathetic and have strong interpersonal skills; Self-motivated and hard-working; Interested in being part of a fast-paced team environment; 'Down-to-earth (we love a laugh and a joke!).
