Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef located in Coolangatta, QLD. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, which include food preparation, cooking, and plating, with a focus on Asian-fusion cuisine. Additional tasks will include hiring of, training & managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met, and maintaining inventory and supply levels. The Sous Chef will also contribute to menu development and assist in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Qualifications Proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and plating techniques, particularly in Asian-fusion cuisineExperience in kitchen management, including staff supervision and inventory controlKnowledge of food safety and hygiene standardsStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesCreativity and passion for delivering high-quality dining experiencesCulinary degree or relevant certification preferredPrevious experience in a similar role is advantageous
