Key Tasks and Responsibilities Lead daily warehouse and logistics operations, covering inbound deliveries, storage, stock control, and outbound dispatch. Develop and implement strategies for warehouse efficiency, scheduling, and routing to optimise costs and resources. Supervise Warehouse Leading Hand, Warehouse Workers, and Dispatch Coordinator, ensuring accountability and performance. Align staffing, trucks, and equipment with operational demands through workload forecasting. Oversee deliveries to customers and external providers (e.g., prefabrication, galvanising), ensuring accuracy and correct documentation. Manage inbound logistics, ensuring supplier deliveries are received, checked, and stored correctly. Collaborate with Production Manager to align delivery schedules with production timelines. Maintain accurate stock control, oversee stocktakes, and ensure system updates. Build strong relationships with carriers, transport providers, clients, and on-site contacts. Drive continuous improvements across warehouse and logistics operations, including process and technology enhancements. Manage team performance through mentoring, coaching, and reviews. Ensure compliance with WHS, transport safety, and warehouse regulations. Report on warehouse utilisation, dispatch performance, and logistics KPIs, with recommendations for improvement. Key Skills and Experience Required Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse/logistics management in manufacturing (reinforcement steel advantageous). Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing teams. Strong knowledge of stock control, inventory management, and dispatch systems. Experience in inbound/outbound logistics, including scheduling and transport planning. Ability to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and improve processes. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams. Highly organised, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Solid understanding of WHS, transport safety, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in MS Office; ERP/warehouse systems experience desirable. Permanent working rights in Australia.
