We are currently seeking internal expressions of interest to join the Work Health Safety and Injury Management team as a Safety and Well Being Advisor! This is a contract role to cover parental leave on a fixed term basis from Mid-December 2025 up to end of October 2026. Your ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organisation, along with effective communication skills and experience and interest in Work Health and Safety will be highly regarded. Responsibilities (but not limited to) Monitoring and assessing Resthaven health and safety strategies in accordance with legislative and standards changes. Identifying emerging WHS risks in the workplace and assisting managers to implement or review safety initiatives to respond to those risks. Providing advice, support and training to managers and workers with a focus on building organisational capability in managing health and safety issues and legislative requirements Supporting Resthaven sites in the access and delivery of the Health and Wellbeing activities and programs. Monitoring Skytrust Intelligence System for all reported hazards and incidents and supporting sites with their investigations and remedial actions to close out where required. Conducting workplace WHS investigations where risks are identified, or high-risk incidents occur. Reporting and investigation of Notifiable Incidents. Essential requirements Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or equivalent experience Comprehensive knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act 2012, Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012 and relevant Codes of Practice Knowledge of hazard management principles. Ability to identify safety risks and issues and prepare a comprehensive plan to achieve improvement. Ability to work with groups of workers, and contractors where applicable, to develop health and safety performance improvement strategies. Ability to communicate effectively.
