About the Role We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join our Sydney team. This role provides essential support to the HR function and the wider business, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, compliance with policies, and a professional, welcoming office environment. You’ll assist across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and contracts through to records management and compliance - while also contributing to HR projects and office administration. Key Responsibilities HR Administration & Support Provide administrative support across all HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, employment contracts, leave management, and employee records. Maintain accurate employee data across systems and documentation, ensuring compliance and consistency. Support HRIS updates, implementation, and process improvements. Assist with HR reporting and ensure compliance with employment legislation (Australia & UK). Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate recruitment administration, including interview scheduling, reference checks, and onboarding paperwork. Ensure new employees have a smooth and professional onboarding experience. Employee Support Act as a point of contact for employee queries, escalating as required. Support HR initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement projects. Office Operations Assist with day-to-day office running, including vendor management, ordering supplies, and ensuring a safe and well-presented workplace. Essential Capabilities & Experience Proven experience in a HR administration or operational HR support role. Hands-on experience supporting or coordinating HRIS implementation or upgrades. Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle confidential information with discretion. Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills. A proactive, “can-do” attitude and eagerness to learn. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly. Comfortable working across a broad range of HR tasks in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points For ✅ Experience with HRIS platforms such as Employment Hero, Rippling, or similar. Experience with Confluence and/or JIRA. Prior exposure to recruitment coordination or working with hiring managers. Ability to identify and improve inefficiencies in processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Australian employment legislation and HR compliance requirements. Experience working in a small or growing business with evolving processes. Involvement in process improvement or documentation projects. Qualifications Degree in Human Resource Management, or related/applicable fields (e.g., Psychology, Law).
