About The Opportunity Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a passionate and proactive Community Development Project Officer to lead targeted projects that strengthen local service systems and address key social challenges. This role focuses on identifying service gaps—such as in crime prevention, mental health, addiction, housing, and cost of living—and driving initiatives to improve service delivery, build sector capability, and support future advocacy and investment. About You You will be a motivated and community-focused professional who brings: A current Queensland Driver’s Licence and flexibility to travel within the region as needed. Proven experience in community development at the local level, with a strong understanding of the social services landscape. The ability to develop strategic plans, educational resources, and awareness initiatives that drive real impact. Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering against milestones and working independently to achieve outcomes. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. A self-starter mindset with the ability to work autonomously while also contributing to broader team objectives.
