That’s what makes us more than just an environmental consultancy. About the opportunity We are seeking a motivated Graduate Ecologist to join our Wollongong Ecology Team. In this role, you’ll provide ecological and environmental support across a variety of projects. Your work will include field surveys, report writing, proposal preparation, and contributing to day-to-day project activities. You’ll have the chance to be involved in a wide range of projects that deliver innovative environmental and ecological solutions for our clients. As a Graduate Ecologist, you will: Receive on-the-job training and mentoring from highly respected environmental professionals. Contribute to projects in ecological assessment, environmental impact assessment, vegetation management, monitoring, planning, and conservation assessment. Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines and locations. Build your skills in client engagement and liaising with government and regulatory authorities. To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring: A genuine passion for the environment - please provide a short (up to 300 words) summary outlining why you are passionate about the environment and “leading with science” A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline Enthusiasm for ecology, with any prior experience in flora and fauna surveys highly regarded Strong communication skills - including scientific writing and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients A can-do attitude, initiative, and good time management skills to manage competing priorities An awareness of relevant NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation Baseline fitness and agility to participate in fieldwork across varied climates and terrains A current manual driver’s licence with a safe driving record Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Australian residency or citizenship.
