Overview Based at our North Ryde office, the Credit Officer is responsible for day-to-day management of a portfolio of customers, taking full responsibility for their own ledger and escalating issues to the Credit Team Leader as appropriate. The Credit Officer will ensure effective management of Boral’s credit risk and cash flow, ensuring timely and accurate collections and allocations. The role includes identifying and participating in continuous improvements in credit processes, procedures and credit systems, with an emphasis on good risk management and process improvement. Success depends on developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Collection of overdue monies, including maintaining collection records, account reconciliation, daily payment allocation, and reviewing credit limits; actioning accounts that exceed credit limits Follow up and resolution of customer queries and issues as they arise, with escalation as appropriate Masterfile maintenance including activation and de-activation of accounts and updating customer data Providing accurate and timely reports on credit performance and exposure to the business as required Identify and report on credit related issues in a timely fashion for process improvement Identify and report process gaps and participate in continuous improvement opportunities Qualifications Proven ability and demonstrated experience in credit collections Demonstrated experience in developing effective working relationships with internal and external customers including Senior Management across multiple business units with differing needs Experience working as part of a collaborative and supportive team In-depth experience in Oracle/SAP Financial Modules and/or equivalent systems Highly developed written communication and oral presentation skills Proficient in MS Excel and Word What’s on offer Employment stability – permanent, full-time position Friendly team, competitive remuneration, free parking & close to North Ryde Metro Career progression opportunities within Boral We are Australian-owned and operated Opportunity to purchase additional leave Generous paid parental leave entitlement Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Finance and Sales Industries Construction J-18808-Ljbffr
