Strategic Directions seeks an experienced and outcome-driven Principal Consultant to lead high-impact ICT consulting engagements, working with government and commercial clients to deliver strategic advice, transformation initiatives, and governance frameworks that support real-world outcomes. This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role suited to a confident self-starter with deep public sector experience and a passion for solving complex challenges. What You'll Be Doing Lead engagements in ICT strategy, governance, risk, and transformation Build trusted relationships with CIOs, GMs, and senior executives Develop roadmaps and artefacts including ToRs, risk registers, governance frameworks, and business cases Mentor consultants and contribute to internal knowledge sharing Drive growth , identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposals and thought leadership About You 10 years in ICT, digital strategy, or business consulting Strong knowledge of frameworks such as COBIT, ISO/ISM, Essential Eight, and IS18 Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal Skilled facilitator , able to lead workshops and executive discussions Familiarity with ERP, cloud, cyber, and business system implementations Demonstrated experience in public sector ICT programs Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in ICT, Business, or a related field Certifications such as ITIL, TOGAF, PRINCE2, PMBoK, or COBIT desirable Must be an Australian Citizen Ability to obtain AGSVA Baseline or NV1 Clearance is a plus Job Details Seniority level : Mid-Senior level Employment type : Full-time Job function : Consulting, Information Technology, and Sales J-18808-Ljbffr
