We are preparing for a major process plant project that will be technically complex. The Opportunity We are seeking expressions of interest from senior Mechanical Engineers with substantial experience in process plant design who are interested in joining our design team when this project progresses to the next stage. This role will involve mechanical design for systems operating across extreme temperature ranges, from cryogenic conditions below –200°C to high-temperature environments exceeding 1,500°C. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 10 years’ experience in process plant mechanical design (chemical, petrochemical, or energy sectors preferred) Proficiency in mechanical design codes (ASME, API, AS/NZS) Experience with high-temperature materials, cryogenic systems, and corrosion resistance Proven track record leading mechanical design packages from concept through detailed design and delivery Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams on complex projects Must have the legal right to work in Australia, Singapore, Indonesia or Malaysia Potential Responsibilities Designing high-temperature, high-pressure process equipment including reactors, heat exchangers, piping, and storage systems Designing systems for cryogenic applications below –200°C and high-temperature service above 1,500°C Translating process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) into detailed engineering drawings and specifications Performing structural and thermal calculations to ensure mechanical integrity under extreme operating conditions Preparing equipment data sheets, material selection reports, and fabrication specifications Leading mechanical input for risk assessments, HAZOP/HAZID workshops, and safety case preparation Liaising with vendors, fabricators, and regulators during design phase Why Express Interest Be considered early for a pioneering, large-scale engineering project Join a high-calibre team of engineers and industry specialists Contribute to a project that integrates advanced engineering, safety, and sustainability Visit www.jimmylea.com to learn more about what we do.
