The Career Coach is responsible for engaging, inspiring, and enhancing the ability of young people to explore and create career pathways and make positive career decisions. The successful candidate will join our team at The Foundry on Carrington Street, Adelaide and report to the Manager - Housing Services. This position will be required on a part-time basis (0.8 FTE) until 30 June 2026 (Max-term contract). As a Career Coach , you will: Provide compassionate, client-led support to support young people to learn about different careers/industries and engage with partner employers Working collaboratively with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders, families and community to help young people successfully achieve their goals. Provide high quality client-centred career coaching supports, such as conduct holistic assessments, formulating a personal Career Pathway Plan and develop their employability skills About You As someone who is passionate about inspiring young people to explore and unlock their full potential, you will provide ample opportunities and guidance to assist in developing their strengths and career development goals. The successful candidate will demonstrate: Strong engagement skills and the ability to interact effectively and sensitively with young people from diverse backgrounds. Previous experience in a coaching/development role Ability to collaborate successfully with a variety of training providers and employers to open a range of new opportunities for young people Excellent communication skills with well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, and the ability to conduct client assessments, developing case plans and case notes and report writing Key Screening Requirements: Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check Have possession of a current valid Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive Be eligible to work in Australia Have possession of a current valid Driver’s License, willingness to drive, and your own registered vehicle with a 4–5-star ANCAP safety rating.
