This is a full time role working 38 hours per week, 5 days per week on a rotating roster (including weekends and public holidays as required). Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of Indian food such as vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Prepare and cook dishes to meet established recipes, standards, and quality expectations. Demonstrate advanced culinary techniques and provide guidance on cooking procedures to team members. Manage & provide training for the kitchen staff, including cooks, and kitchen assistants, coordinating tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Visualise every situation and tasks independent decision to handle the things. Manage staff and supervise the staff that they are doing everything in a right procedure. Plan and design menus that utilise seasonal ingredients while catering to diverse customer preferences and dietary requirements. Monitor quality at every stage of food preparation and presentation, implementing quality assurance measures. Estimating food and labour costs and ordering food supplies. Explain and ensure compliance with hygiene regulations. Explaining and enforcing the Occupational Health, safety and hygiene standard Applicants must have at least 1 year of experience in a busy restaurant, or similar hospitality industry role, and hold at minimum a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
