About the Opportunity This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and execution of a national learning strategy that will shape Australia’s sovereign submarine sustainment workforce. Reporting to the Head of Learning & Development and working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll drive the “Train in Australia Plan” and collaborate across government and industry to deliver technical training and capability development initiatives. This role is pivotal in supporting Australia’s future nuclear-powered submarine capability. Responsibilities Develop and implement the SSN Sustainment Learning Strategy and “Train in Australia Plan”.Design and deliver onboarding, technical, and compliance training programs for the SSN Sustainment workforce.Act as ASC’s lead for all technical learning activities related to SSN Sustainment.Lead the development of the WA Learning Facility in collaboration with infrastructure and program teams.Deliver internal and external briefings and workshops to keep stakeholders informed.Provide leadership to the SSN Sustainment L&D team.Manage L&D actions to support capability building and Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) outcomes. About You Tertiary qualifications in Learning, HR, Business or extensive L&D leadership experience.Project management certification or experience highly desirable.Minimum 10 years’ experience in complex environments, ideally with technical training delivery.Proven ability to align strategy with organisational goals and execute effectively.Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills.Excellent communication, time management, and organisational abilities.Self-directed, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited supervision. Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
