Where You'll Be Working SWSLHD Drug Health Services operates across the South Western Sydney Local Health District, providing a comprehensive range of treatments and interventions for individuals, families, and carers affected by alcohol and other drug use. The services include inpatient withdrawal at the 'Corella' unit in Fairfield, the Opioid Treatment Program, outpatient clinics, and specialised teams such as the Aboriginal Drug & Alcohol Team and the Youth Service. Relevant tertiary qualifications which provide eligibility for membership with a professional organisation and/or current registration with AHPRA where applicable. A Counsellor must hold as a minimum a bachelor’s degree in counselling or a related field (other qualification such as Social Work, Welfare or Psychology will be deemed equivalent)Demonstrated advanced knowledge of the harm reduction approach to drug and alcohol issues and demonstrated experience in the provision of interventions with drug dependent clients including assessment, care planning and counselling.Demonstrated experience in managing a multidisciplinary team providing complex psychosocial Interventions.High level communication skills including the ability to prepare statistical and technical reports.Demonstrated experience in leading quality improvement initiatives.Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
