About the Role Join our dynamic Audit and Assurance Quality team, dedicated to supporting high-quality outcomes across all audit engagements. Operating across five key pillars—Audit Methodology, Assurance, Engagement Performance, Learning & Development, and Monitoring & Remediation—we foster a culture of continuous improvement. This leadership role offers the opportunity to drive quality initiatives, including engagement support, technical consultations, training, monitoring, and stakeholder liaison. Role Responsibilities Lead and support quality initiatives across audit and assurance engagements, including: Engagement Support : Provide technical guidance on standards and methodology, maintain audit manuals and tools, and assist teams during internal and external reviews (ASIC, CAANZ, CPA Australia, BDO Global, etc.). Learning & Development : Design and deliver targeted learning sessions and digital resources, and monitor compliance with regulatory and network requirements. Monitoring & Remediation : Drive inspection programs, conduct hot reviews, and lead root cause analyses with actionable follow-ups. Outreach & Liaison : Represent BDO in global projects and external forums, contribute to consultations, and draft responses to professional bodies. Strategic Projects : Collaborate on initiatives that enhance audit quality and efficiency across the firm. Qualification, Experience and skills: CA / CPA qualified with membership of the relevant body An up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of technical standards including ASAs, AASBs and APESB Code of Ethics An ability to work autonomously but in a collaborative environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Proven technical labilities & demonstrated experience in successfully managing, motivating & developing teams Strong analytical & conceptual skills and the ability to think laterally Ability to manage a variety of complex tasks Excellent organisational skills Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
