The Data Scientist drives the analytics strategy for HCF’s Thank You program by interpreting loyalty and behavioral data to deliver actionable insights that enhance personalisation, offer development, and member engagement. As HCF’s loyalty data expert, the role involves cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and reporting to maximise program value and guide strategic execution. Key responsibilities: Establish and implement a data science and analytics strategy for the Thank You program: Design a robust framework that supports the program's goals, setting clear objectives and KPIs to measure success and guide continuous improvement. Drive prioritisation of actions based on data analysis insights: Identify key areas of focus and work with the Loyalty Lead and Manager, Partnerships to prioritise initiatives that offer the greatest potential for improving member engagement and program outcomes Analyse loyalty program, Member behavioural data and the wider ecosystem of HCF owned assets (e.g. Healthful) to uncover actionable insights: Utilise advanced techniques to examine data patterns, trends, and correlations to gain a deep understanding of member behaviours and preferences. Combine loyalty, behavioural, and operational data to maximise program value: Integrate multiple data sources to achieve a comprehensive view of the loyalty program's performance, enabling data-driven decisions that enhance member engagement and program effectiveness. Manage the planning and execution of analysis activities: Oversee the end-to-end process of analytical projects, from initial planning and data collection to analysis, interpretation, and presentation of findings. Implement data-driven engagement strategies in collaboration with stakeholders: Work alongside stakeholders to translate analytical insights into practical strategies that enhance member engagement and loyalty, ensuring successful implementation and execution Perform work in a manner that complies with relevant regulatory standards including Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation Essential Skills 3–5 years' experience in data science roles Tertiary qualification in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field (postgraduate desirable) Proficient in at least two of SQL, SAS, Python, or R Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Excellent communication skills, with experience in reporting and presenting insights Proven ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate across teams Proactive, solution-oriented approach with a positive attitude Desirable Skills: Skilled in presenting insights to diverse stakeholders Proven experience in loyalty and rewards program analytics Familiarity with the private health insurance sector Takes ownership and pride in delivering high-quality work Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively Solid project management capabilities with a results-driven mindset Passionate, focused, and motivated by clear targets About HCF At HCF, our purpose is to bring our human touch to healthcare.
