The Role An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurses (Mental Health - Acute Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Deliver clinical services within an integrated Mental Health service environment with a multidisciplinary team focus Utilise clinical skills commensurate to individual level of experience Apply professional knowledge and skills in clinical decision making under the professional guidance of senior clinician Contribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staff in consultation with the support of senior clinicians About you To be successful in this position you will require: A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing) A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable Driver Licence Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work options Career Development Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture Research Opportunities 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Salary Permanent full time and part time (several positions, hours negotiable) Base salary ranging from $107 960 - $115 604 per annum, $54.44 - $58.30 per hour About Us The Gold Coast Acute Community Mental Health services provide 24 hour, 7 day a week specialist mental health care service. This includes: the first point of contact for the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service Mental Health Service to provide education, support, information, advice and referral. Telephone triage, crisis intervention, clinical assessment-in reach into emergency departments and community via Co-responder teams, screening admissions to public mental health inpatient services.
