The Role An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Manager (Mental Health - Access) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Provide efficient and responsive mental health care, utilising advanced level of knowledge, and skills in the area of clinical practice Develop a dynamic, flexible, resilient and skilled workforce Coordinate, formulate and direct policies relating to the provision of mental health care or disciplinary specific specialty services which includes integration of consumer care across the continuum of care Lead the integration of the key objectives from the Strategic/Operational plans into service delivery About you To be successful in this position you will require: A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing) A Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirable Driver Licence Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work options Career Development Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture Research Opportunities 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Salary Temporary full time (11 months with the possibility of extension) Base salary ranging from $5557.50 - 5798.90 per fortnight About Us Prevention and early intervention strategies are important in interrupting the development of severe mental health problems and disorders in childhood.
