As an Advisor you will: Perform the functions of trained Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator as outlined under the Workers' Compensation Act 2003 to assist the department to discharge its legal obligations. In collaboration with managers, provide case management services for ill or injured employees, in line with legislative and policy requirements, collaborating with the employees, treating medical practitioners, and insurers (WorkCover, QSuper or other income protection provider). Assist local management and employees navigate and negotiate workplace rehabilitation and return to work processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of wellbeing, injury management and return to work practices, policies and procedures across the department. Promote employee support services including the availability of employee assistance services (EAS) and support referrals to the department's health and wellbeing programs such as early intervention and workplace intervention support. Provide information, instruction and training to management and staff on workplace health and safety and worker's compensation and rehabilitation processes, including relevant legislation and policy. Participate in hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control activities and collaborate with Senior Advisors (Regional Safety Operations) based in the Regions. Provide local and regional management with analyses of Wellbeing and Injury Management data and performance trends on a regular basis. Support delivery of key programs in the department's mental health and wellbeing framework. Foster and build relationships across the organisation, to create collaborative working partnerships, including brokering services from the wider P&C teams to facilitate quality health and wellbeing practices throughout the department.
