Your opportunity: Assist the Maintenance Coordinator and in-house trade staff with a range of maintenance activities within the Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) department at Bundaberg Hospital, and the nearby rural facilities of Childers, Gin Gin, Mt Perry, Biggenden, Eidsvold, Gayndah, Monto and Mundubbera, as required. This position may be required to occasionally work at Maryborough and Hervey Bay Hospitals. Carry out efficient and cost-effective maintenance of building infrastructure, fittings, equipment and general maintenance activities under the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator. The position is an important member of the BEMS team (comprising a mix of in-house staff and contractors) ensuring daily housekeeping, minor repairs and refurbishment tasks are conducted with a customer focus. The incumbent will be expected to work autonomously, and at time with guidance and direction, within the following areas: mechanical services hydraulic services electrical services general maintenance tasks building and refurbishment projects programmed maintenance critical services shutdown.
