About the opportunity The role of the Clinical Nurse is to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to patients/clients and nursing staff within the unit to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. The Clinical Nurse applies critical thinking across all domains which include provision of care, support of systems, education, research and professional leadership. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide clinical expertise, support, leadership and education to all nursing staff within the unit and communicate effectively with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) and all members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care is always provided at all times to all SCDU consumers.
