This will be done professionally, efficiently, and within required timeframes, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and Australian Accounting Standards (AAS). You will play a key role in managing financial functions to support the efficient and timely delivery of the North Queensland Region's roads infrastructure program. Some of your responsibilities will include:- Conduct analysis of financial activities to align with multiple financial systems and processes to provide consistent application within the region.- Collate various program and project reports and monitors financial performance against forecasts.- Liaise with stakeholders and collate the district and region's Stewardship and Capability budget including revisions throughout the financial year.- Ensure successful business outcomes through effective resource utilisation, performance monitoring, analysis and reporting.- Provide leadership and coaching to finance team staff, ensure appropriate skill sets and training needs are identified and developed.- Provide financial management advice and support to the extended Regional Leadership Team in relation to initiatives focused on enhancing district capability in the delivery of the QTRIP program.- Ensure compliance with corporate governance obligations, standards, legislation, and policies. Mandatory qualifications and conditions- A current Class 'C' Drivers Licence- Pre-employment checks, including a criminal history screening and declaration of serious discipline history will be required to be completed.- Must be eligible to work in Australia. Desirable qualifications and conditions- Tertiary qualifications in finance or a similar discipline will be highly regarded.- SAP and financial reporting experience.- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
