About the Role: The financial accountant is a member of the general ledger team and provides financial accounting and business partnering support to internal stakeholders. This role assists the team in their primary responsibility of ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the financial reporting process and ensuring internal controls and procedures are adhered to. Key Responsibilities: Maintain high level of quality accounting and financial reporting and meet month end reporting deadlines set by senior management Ensures the integrity and accuracy of the financial reporting, general ledge journals, end-of-month reconciliations, and assistance with audit requirements Work closely with the LOB operations and management team to ensure transactions are recorded and reported correctly Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and encourage further automation of key reconciliations Assist in the refinement of business processes and strengthening of controls Participate in budget and forecasting process as well as full year audited financial statements Your skillset: Experience in relevant roles with a CA/CPA Degree qualification in accounting / commerce / finance Strong knowledge of accounting standards (AASB/IFRS) Self-starter. Independent. Autonomous work style. Can prioritise competing deadlines well. Flexible and open to change and challenges to continue learning Strong business acumen, financial knowledge and skills Relevant Industry experience. Experience in an ERP environment (preferably Oracle R12/13) as well as using BI tools such as Oracle EPM, TM1, Cognos Why join us?
