About the role: This is an exciting time to join Victoria Police and play an integral role in recruiting to our organisation. The Recruiting Services Branch is looking for an enthusiastic Senior HR Consultant (Team Leader) with a history of providing excellent customer service, an understanding of candidate care and strong written communication skills to join our dynamic team. This is no regular recruitment opportunity, as you will become a part of the recruitment process focused on screening and selecting the new generation of Police Officers and Protective Services Officers for Victoria Police. As the successful applicant, you will lead and manage a team of recruiting staff who work across the selection process for Victoria Police applications in both police, Protective Services Officer, and Police Custody Officer streams. You are responsible for ensuring sufficient suitable applicants flow through to the selection process gateways. You will be operating in a fast and fluent environment to meet deadlines. You will be part of a management team who drive and deliver organisation outcomes. You will also be required to contribute to significant recruitment reform initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across the recruitment lifecycle. This will include conducting comprehensive reviews of existing recruitment processes to identify areas for improvement and streamline workflows. Working with stakeholders to ensure partnerships are maintained and further developed. Analysis of applicant and recruiting data as required. Contribute to the development of the recruiting process and systems. Review candidate applications as required. Reviewing and assessing applications. Reviewing triage reports and preparing recommendations to management for consideration. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Providing advice on selection processes. Maintaining systems and databases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage change and ensure successful adoption of new recruitment strategies and processes. Monitor project progress, prepare detailed reports, and provide recommendations to senior leadership to support continuous improvement efforts. About you: The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: Well-developed communication skills. Proven experience in leading and motivating a team. Ability to analyse and interpret data and make recommendations. Demonstrated experience with managing an end-to-end recruitment function. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proven track record in interpreting and applying knowledge of recruitment legislation, policies and procedures. Requirements and relevant information: Two (2) x fixed term positions until 30 June 2026 available. These positions are located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
