How you create impact Key contributor to defining, communicating and executing the strategic direction, performance framework, communication framework and tactics used to drive growth on the tradelane; Taking ownership of the role in carrier relationships to build an understanding of their needs, wants, risks and opportunities with the purpose of informing and enabling the sourcing of competitive service options, rates, terms and conditions - delivering differentiated and compelling customer solutions; Responsible for the completion of all tactical responsibilities and deliverables associated with enabling stakeholders to grow the tradelane, including but not limited to dissemination of market updates, notifications and insights that empower stakeholders, filing of oceanfreight data i.e. rates, allocations, tender responses etc that enable decisions and action and the provision of SME capability to support internal and external stakeholders in navigating the trade. Strategy Development - develop growth strategies at trade-lane, carrier and customer/commodity levels; Monitor sea logistics market and trade-lane trends to inform insights and identify opportunities and/or potential pitfalls; Provide seafreight and trade thought leadership and support to stakeholders to enable and empower; Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within the wider ecosystem to develop opportunities and initiatives that fuel growth; Develop and lead pricing strategies to inform tender responses and customer solutions; Ensure all necessary data points/filings are satisfied to support tactical activities and stakeholders; Aggregate and provision data, insights, news and market updates to support decision making and inform continuous improvement options and opportunities; Own and drive performance framework with respect to tradelane seafreight - this includes ideation and delivery of initiatives that underpin performance improvements Responsible for all tender responses for global accounts, working to maximise yield and delivery of growth; Carrier commercial and performance responsibility for tradelane; Participate in customer meetings to assist stakeholders as a SME in sea logistics; Develop and deliver robust pricing strategies that deliver growth under a prudent risk management framework; Oversee and enable GP yield management by identifying opportunities to improve yield and by steering cargo to maximise outcomes; Own and drive the satisfaction of strategic deliverables; What we would like you to bring Minimum 5-7 years' experience in sea freight trade management or product development Proven track record in managing Asia-Oceania trade lanes and carrier relationships Ability to define and execute commercial strategies for Asia-Oceania routes Experience in volume building, route optimization, and capacity planning Skilled in developing competitive pricing models and managing trade profitability Strong negotiation skills with shipping lines, port authorities, and regional partners Ability to establish and manage space allocation agreements and service contracts Proficient in conducting market research, analyzing rate trends, and forecasting demand Familiarity with regulatory changes, customs requirements, and trade compliance Experience working with sales, operations, and tender management teams Ability to support global account teams and contribute to RFQ responses Skilled in tracking KPIs, managing P&L performance, and presenting trade insights to leadership Comfortable using data visualization tools and CRM platforms Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-driven, collaborative, and adaptable to a fast-paced global environment What's in it for you Along with a competitive remuneration package, we want to make sure our employees are motivated in all aspects.
