The Opportunity: Prepare and serve four nutritious meals daily for our childcare centre. The role includes access to a fully equipped kitchen and opportunities to engage in cooking activities with the children’s rooms each month. The position currently offers 30 hours per week. Develop seasonal, nutritious menus that cater to individual requirements and promote children's health and wellbeing. Build strong relationships with children, educators, families, and the centre community. Ensure best practice food safety and hygiene standards are upheld. Requirements: Food Safety Supervisor certificate. (Essential) Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or working towards it. (Desirable, not essential) Awareness of your personal responsibilities under Child Protection Laws. Current Working with Children's Check (QLD Blue Card) Experience cooking for children, as the role involves preparing meals that meet individual needs, including allergies, dietary requirements, and accommodating selective or particular eating habits—while ensuring meals remain healthy and balanced.
