Our Client in Hazelmere ( National Mining Company) has won another project and is looking to appoint an extra 4 x LV Mechanics for up to 12 months. You will be working on trucks and crane trucks as well as performining a number of duties on their fleet of ford rangers. Main Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in light vehicles. Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections. Replace and repair worn-out parts such as brakes, suspension systems, steering components, and exhausts. Use diagnostic tools and software to identify vehicle problems accurately. Maintain proper documentation of inspections, repairs, and parts used. Ensure that repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper functioning. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Report major repair needs and safety concerns to the supervisor. Adhere to all safety protocols and workshop procedures. Qualifcations Relevant trade certificate Proven experience as a light vehicle mechanic (minimum 3 years). In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, braking, suspension, etc.). Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and automotive software. Valid driver’s license Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams. Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on environment.
