About the Role We are seeking an experienced and reliable Registry Officer to join a high-performing administrative team. This role is critical to the accurate and timely registration, filing, and management of sensitive legal documents in a fast-paced, customer-focused government environment. Pay rate: $45.60/hr Super (PAYG) Hours: 7 hours/day, 35 hours/week Location: Parramatta WFH: Hybrid 2-3 days WFH Contract Length: ASAP start to 31 December 2025 Key Responsibilities Register new legal documents such as orders, reasons for decisions, and supporting paperwork into internal client databases Record and route incoming correspondence including letters, group emails, and electronic faxes to relevant departments promptly Perform document filing for both new applications and ongoing client records to ensure easy and compliant retrieval Create and maintain client folders with accurate data entry and unique identifier codes Liaise with internal teams and external bodies such as NCAT to facilitate accurate and timely document exchange Escalate complex matters to senior registry staff for guidance and resolution Develop working knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and operational procedures Contribute to the improvement of registry procedures, records management practices, and service delivery frameworks Ensure all actions meet established service standards, privacy requirements, and compliance obligations About You Demonstrated experience in administration, records management, or registry functions, preferably within government or legal settings Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining data integrity Competent user of Microsoft Office and client management systems Comfortable managing high volumes of sensitive documentation within strict timeframes Ability to follow procedures while adapting to workflow changes or competing priorities Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across teams Ability to handle confidential matters professionally and ethically Understanding of NSW government procedures or tribunal processes desirable Fully COVID-19 vaccinated with acceptable proof Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or long-term visa holder with full working rights – sponsorship is not available As a mandatory requirement for this contract role required by our client, applicants are kindly asked to complete a compliance check and upload their work rights verification at www.charterdiligence.com.au/portal.
